Nathan is passionate about glorifying God by impacting the lives of people through the preaching of Scripture. God has birthed this within him over the years through many experiences and opportunities. Nathan has served in various capacities in student ministries, worship/music ministries, discipleship, preaching and teaching, evangelism, and outreach.
He has been a part of three church plants, the first when he was eight years old and his dad pioneered an independent plant. the two more recent church plants were with Harvest Bible Chapel, one in Davenport, Iowa (2004), and the other in Olathe, KS (2010).
Nathan testifies to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior when he was eight years old. Through many troubles and a near-death experience his sophomore year of high school, the Lord awakened him to pursue a sound biblical education. After finishing his undergraduate studies at the Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Evangelism and Discipleship (2002), Nathan remained in Chicago to work a college ministry that reached out to various campuses across Chicagoland. A year and a half later he was called upon to be part of a church plant. He eventually picked up his graduate studies through Knox Seminary, and ultimately finished a master of Minisrty program through Moody Theological Seminary (2010).
He and his wife Emily have been married since 2008 and are blessed to be parents to Ruby, Levi and Maxwell. They enjoy spending time together taking walks, riding bikes, and being on or near the water. Nathan enjoys reading theology, WWII and Holocaust literature, and pretty much anything about professional cycling.
