what WE believe

of The Authority of Scripture
We believe that the Word of God is fully inspired (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20-21), without errors in its original scripts, and with all power in its purposes, even efficacious as the primary tool of God’s design and use for the salvation and sanctification of souls (Rom. 10:17; Jn. 17:17).

of The Triune God
We believe in one God who alone is self-extant (Gen. 1:1; Ex. 3:14), as three distinctive, but equal persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt. 3:16; 28:19-20; 2 Cor. 13:14).  He seeks His glory above all things else, and does all He does for the sake of His own glory (Ex. 14:4; Isa. 48:9-11; Rev. 4:11).

of The Person of Christ
We believe that Christ Jesus created all that has been made (Jn. 1:1-3), but became a man through the virgin birth by the power of the Holy Spirit (Matt. 1:18).  He is in every way fully God (Jn. 8:58; 14:9), and in every way fully man (Heb. 2:17), and is the only means man has for salvation (Jn. 14:6; Acts 4:12).

of The Person and Ministry of the Holy Spirit
We believe that it is the work of the Spirit in the heart and mind of a person to bring them to life even empowering people to believe unto justification (Jn. 3:3-8).  Further, the Spirit baptizes and indwells all believers at the point of justification (1 Cor. 12:7, 12-13), and empowers us to a variety of gifts, no gift of which all believers are called to manifest (1 Cor. 12:28-31).  It is His work to develop in us fruit that glorifies God (Gal. 5:22-23).

of The Depravity of Man
We believe that God created man in His image as a perfect, holy being, without any blemish (Gen. 1:26,31), but that Adam’s sin was passed on to the nature of every human after him (Rom. 5:18), such that all are born guilty before the Lord (Ps. 51:5) and in need of redemption because man is dead in his sin (Eph. 2:1).

of Salvation and the Gospel of Christ
We believe fully in the completed work of Christ, that through His life and death He paid for the complete redemption of the elect (Isa. 53:10; 2 Cor. 5:21).  Further, Christ’s substitutionary atonement for the sake of those He knew He would ultimately save was proven to be acceptable to God the Father by the fact of Christ’s resurrection and His current position as He is seated at the right hand of the Father (Heb. 10:12; Eph. 1:20-21).

of The Life to Come
We believe in the nearing, physical return of Christ to earth to establish His eternal kingdom (Acts 1:11; 1 Thes. 4:16-17). We believe in the eternality of the souls of all people and that one day there is coming a just judgment from God whereby those who are not His shall be eternally condemned to conscious torment in hell, and where His own will be saved from hell, unto eternal joy in His presence (Ps. 16:11; I Corinthians 15; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 20:4-6, 10; 11-15).
